How I got here
In December of 2013, I lost my grandmother to a very preventable form of lymphoma. Flash forward to 2016 when I learned of a new medical technology that could have been the call to our prayers by shrinking brain tumors, even when chemotherapy could not. Since then I have had an incredible fascination for Biomedical Engineering and the effect furthering medical technologies can have on people's lives. This has led me to want to study Biomedical Engineering when I go off to college in the fall, and why I want to do an internship in biomedical engineering over the course of 3 months.
